Job Overview – Building Seamless Operations
The DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and processes that support Media Happi’s SaaS offerings. You will be responsible for streamlining the development pipeline, ensuring continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and improving overall system performance and scalability. This position calls for a highly skilled individual who can handle the challenges of a fast-paced environment while collaborating closely with engineering teams.

Core Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Daily:

• Infrastructure Management: Design and manage scalable infrastructure in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• CI/CD Pipelines: Implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software release process.
• Monitoring and Logging: Deploy and maintain monitoring tools to ensure uptime, performance, and rapid response to incidents.
• Automation: Create scripts and tools to automate deployments, environment provisioning, and other operational tasks.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, quality assurance teams, and product managers to align infrastructure needs with project goals.

Daily Challenges – Your Routine Tasks:

• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Conduct regular system checks and performance tuning.
• Manage and update deployment configurations as necessary.
• Ensure security protocols and compliance requirements are met.
• Monitor server logs and create reports for performance metrics.

• Scalability Initiatives: Lead the development of solutions that support scaling applications to meet global user demand.
• Disaster Recovery Planning: Design and implement comprehensive backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Security Best Practices: Work with the security team to integrate advanced security measures into deployment processes.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the setup of infrastructure.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement new tools and practices that enhance the reliability and efficiency of the development lifecycle.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or related fields.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, or Kubernetes Administrator are a plus.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
